Firewall UFW

Muppy provides an interface to manage UFW.

UFW configuration is accessible from the Host form, in the Firewall tab.

The steps to implement UFW with Muppy are as follows:

  • Enable the Firewall in the Settings (done automatically at installation).
  • Configure the Muppy server address (done automatically at installation).
  • Define the Firewall rules to apply by default.
  • Enable the Firewall on hosts during enrollment.
  • Add/modify/delete rules.
  • "Ephemeral" rules.

UFW

UFW stands for Uncomplicated FireWall. It is the firewall available by default on Ubuntu servers.

The raw UFW status (the output of ufw status) is available from the Host form.
